Ab Belt

Ab Belt

Electric Muscle Stim is a new form of strength training that has been finding its way into mainstream fitness programs.

(EMS) Electro Muscle Stimulation (Muscle contraction using electric impulses).

The concept is actually very simple, the EMS device generates a signal that causes the nerves surrounding a muscle to contract and relax in a predetermined sequence engineered to promote muscle development. The delivery is accomplished through electrode pads that are placed directly against the skin. The pads are placed in the area of the muscles you intend to tone and strengthen. The impulses mimic the action potential of the central nervous system, causing the muscles to contract. Simply put. this is how an Ab Belt works.

The higher the voltage the more intense of a contraction, thus more resistant and a tougher work out.

Who uses an Ab Belt

Ab Belt is becoming the latest fitness craze among coaches as an integral part of there training. Some of these are high profile coaches, such as track coach Charlie Francis, who uses this technique to supplement the training for Olympic-level athletes. Even if your training is at a high intensity, it is difficult to get maximum development without constantly changing either methods or resistance.

This is where an EMS device becomes critical:

By adding it to your work outs,  you are able to hit muscles you would not normally be unable to target. Lets say you want to work your triceps but you just want to only hit the smaller of the three heads all you would need to do is attach the sport pack pads to the bottom triceps and turn it on. This sudden increase in resistance directed exactly where you want it to go is what causes your muscles to grow. Its the power and brain of the in EMS Ab Belt technology that truly makes Contour Ab Belt work.
